  • Beskrivelse: In Filiatra, a nearly deserted township in Messenia, the few farmers who remain are constantly struggling to pay off their debts to the Agricultural Bank. A tailor and old runner named Andreas (Vaggelis Kazan) (who is also the conscience of the area) is suffering from loneliness and boredom. From time to time, he runs in improvised local races, but that is not enough for him. Feeling fed up with Filiatra, he comes to Athens along with many others but the conditions of life are hard. Andreas is crushed in the confusion of the city - in contrast with Vasilis, an acquaintance of his, who is optimistic and longs for a better future.
